INTENE is
the Northeastern Technological Initiative of Puerto Rico integrated by
10 municipalities of the senatorial district of Carolina, Canovanas,
Ceiba, Fajardo, Luquillo, Rio Grande, Loiza, Trujillo Alto, Vieques and
Culebra.
INTENE is a private, nonforprofit corporation created with the
purpose of:
- Strengthening
and expanding the industrial regional base
- Developing
new and innovative businesses in the region, that can bring new
capital investment
- Developing
a better business environment
- Directing
the academic offerings and training towards the needs of the
regional economy and the globalize society
- Improve
the quality of life in the region.
VISION
INTENE will be the leader in technological,
tourism and sustainable socioeconomic
development.
MISSION
INTENE will promote economic development of the
Northeastern region of Puerto Rico,
through the establishment of strategic alliances
between the Government, the Academia
and the Business Sectors to foster the
competitiveness required by the new global
economy.
